| Rabjam Rinpoche loves children and he has a great desire to help those who are suffering through lack of funds and support.In 1990 he personally started to provide assistance to 12 local children who otherwise would have been unable to study.Even though there is free education in Bhutan, many families still cannot meet the costs of sending their children to school. |

Because of this,parents then prefer to put their children to work in the fields. Alcoholism,divorce and child labour are extremely common in these extended families due to their struggle to survive.
